Magistrate Harding of Court No 2, Ross Road, Freetown, on Thursday 15th September 2020, remanded Abdulrahaman Olu Kamara, Headman of Kissy Town, Waterloo, Mohamed Davis Koroma of Waterloo, Umuru Kamara of Legg Farm, Nyangba Town, Waterloo, on conspiracy to commit a felony, contrary to law, to wit: Malicious Damage to property belonging to complainant, James Legg.
It was alleged that the accused persons, on the first day of June 2020, conspired with other persons to commit Malicious Damage to property of James Legg at the Nyangba Town, Waterloo, in the Western Rural Judicial District of the Republic of Sierra Leone, destroyed Yamane Trees, tectona, gradis coconut trees, Mango trees, Cashew trees, Lemon, Guava, avocado cash trees.
Lawyer I Macfoy, Prosecuting Counsel, called on the court to apply section 98 of the Criminal Procedures Act, for bench warrant to be issued against the two accused persons, Abu Kamara and Morlai, who were absent in court.
Lawyer EB Kamara, representing the accused persons, applied for bail to be granted to his clients, arguing that the accused persons are responsible citizens with reliable sureties.
The matter was adjourned to Monday 19th September 2020.
