Bike Rider Alimamy Kamara declared wanted by Society Members

There is serious commotion in Ma Comp, a village within the township of Lunsar, Port Loko District, Northern part of Sierra Leone.
Times SL Newspaper gathered that a bike rider in the name of Alimamy Kamara was alleged to have hit members of the secret society who were desperately searching for new members to be initiated. Kamara who was riding a motorcycle was alleged to have injured two of the society members within the area. According to eyewitnesses, Kamara was carrying a passenger who hired him to the area. On his way, he accidentally hit two of the secret society members causing them severe injuries. He was quick to leave the scene with his bike while being chased by the secret society members. The ugly incident put the entire township into unrest as other bikes were apprehended and seized by the secret society members. During these skirmishes, over ten bikes were arrested and taken to the secret society bush. The secret society members demand that those bikes can only be released if Alimamy Kamara is brought forward.
It is understood that the two secret society members injured are in hospital responding to treatment.


Members of the Bike Riders Union in Lunsar also put up a fight causing serious damage within the township.
In all of this, the Sierra Leone Police was called to put the situation under control.
Local Unit Commander in charge of Lunsar Police Division, Max Kanu in an interview with local radio stations said the police after putting the situation under control have declared Alimamy Kamara wanted.
Kamara is being blamed for the unfortunate incident which has caused serious damage to lives and properties within the township. Kamara’s whereabouts remained unknown up to the time of going to the Press.
