SLRSA Boss Faces 6 Weeks Suspension

Executive Director of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority, Ibrahim Sannoh, has been suspended for six weeks by the Board. Sannoh was issued a suspension letter dated 2nd December 2020 by the Board of the Sierra Leone Roads Safety Authority.
The letter in question states that the SLRSA Executive Director was suspended based on the recommendation of the Board for his behaviour towards Board Members. The suspension letter also stated that Ibrahim Sannoh allegedly demonstrated gross disrespect, insubordination and total disregard for Board members by failing to abide by their directives.
He was also accused of overturning the decision of the Board and the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, as well as advertising and engaging in procurement process with an unknown company for the printing of drivers’ licenses without following due process, and also without the knowledge of the Board.
Furthermore, the suspension letter also stated that Sannoh took a decision to issue out
Termination of IRIS/MDT/Crown Technologies contract negotiations without the knowledge of the Board.
The 6 weeks suspension will take effect from Monday 14th December 2020 to Friday 22nd January 2021.
