As the world keeps growing faster in digitalization, especially in the 21st century, Orange-SL is of the view that the country should not be left behind, and in this regard, on Thursday 10th March 2022, it launched the first ever MY ORANGE APP in Sierra Leone.
Their vision is a world in which people see digitization as an opportunity. This App will easily accelerate, simplify and optimize work processes. It is a platform to make things simple, enjoyable, engaging and efficient for their employees and customers at each touch point.
During the program, Mrs. Morenikeh Taylor, in her opening statements, welcomed all to the special event, describing it as the first of its kind in the telecom industry and the country. She furthered that they are going to launch the MY ORANGE APPLICATION, which is especially for all orange customers, adding that this app is a new interface that is designed to give customers and users the best experience in digitalization with Orange.
She also said that this is the first step towards multiservice to access one’s account, concluding that this is just the beginning or a long journey.
Representative from the Marketing Department, Mr. Felix, said that the app’s development started last year and was finally completed today. He continued that the main reason is to make it easy for customer services and marketing, furthering that Orange promised to create an app some years ago, when they launched the orange money app, and now they are bringing ‘MY ORANGE APP’ to make sure that their customers are digitalized and operations made simple for everyone.
Mr. Felix furthered that the app is only available for android phones for now, on Google play store, but that they are working on it for the future to be used in other devices, as this is just the start.
The event was climaxed by a presentation of how to download the app and use it, as well as the donation of two mobile phones to the first users of the app, who were present at the program.
