                                 Release

We are calling on fellow Sierra Leoneans, political parties and civil society organizations to come out in numbers to a peaceful protest on Monday, April 5th, 2021 for the continued detention of opposition leader, Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray. Our 1991 Constitution clearly states that every citizen is entitled to bail and the respect for the rule of law and justice.

It’s almost eight (8) months since the arrest and detention of Mr. Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray without bail or fair Justice. Enough is Enough. The peaceful demonstrations will also send a serious message to President Maada Bio as to the suffering and extreme hardship in Sierra Leone after his three (3) years in office.

We are encouraging every citizen in and out of Sierra Leone to wear black clothes on Monday 5th April, 2021. We are seeking fair Justice for Kamarainba and all Sierra Leoneans. A political setup and ploy to silence him is now clear. We cannot sit and watch blatant  injustice perpetrated to a political leader in this country, just because of his vigorous opposition to hold President Maada Bio and his government accountable and to be transparent in governance.

Meeting place for the peaceful protest will be in front of the Law Court Building at Siaka Steven Street.
