KPCI General Overseer bags humanitarian award

Dr Abdul K Sesay, General Overseer of Kings and Priest Court International Mission, City of Light Church, 4th September 2022, Hilton Alexandria Marks Center 5000 Seminary Rd, Alexandria, VA 22311, bags the Africa Community  Services Award  (ACSA) in the United States.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the event said the ACSA was established to continue to honour the unique contributions of individuals and organizations offering humanitarian aid within the African communities.

This noble goodwill awards are presented to organizations and individuals, who provide scholarships and implement programmes within their institutions and their partners in Africa, promoting and strengthening the teaching of African languages, through the development of programs, the development and publication of materials, and the education of instructors supporting the preservation and enhancement of archives and libraries in Africa, through exchanges and specialized training;

Initiating and/or facilitating educational exchanges between secondary schools and instructors and/or civil society.

Dr Sesay was given the award based on his humanitarian contribution to the African community and beyond.

The KPCIM General Overseer and his team were also recognized for their outstanding effort in the fight against Covid-19 in the united States and Africa.

He is a community development activist, who works with local governments and organizations in the distribution of basic hygiene products, food, medical and household equipment to families, in Maryland and Ohio United States of America. He is also a sole distributor of food, clothing and free medical to countries like Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Namibia, Ghana and Tanzania, and has established Churches, Schools and Standard Health facilities in those countries.

Dr. Abdulai thanked the organizers of the ceremony and also members of the City of Light Church and City of Light Helping Hands, who, he said, made it possible for the award.

He stated that his upbringing inspired him to be able to reach out to the vulnerable, because he knows what poverty means and how it can destroy faith of human beings to even serve the lord.

He promised to do more, as the award comes with more responsibilities, he commended and encouraged the KPCIM to continue the good work, as the reward lies with God

Amongst those attending the event is Kanayo, a popular Nigerian film actor and members of the Sierra Leone and Africa community.
